CVS deals Week of Septemeber 4th.. CVS paid me to shop!

Hello lovely savers

Hope everyone is having a good holiday weekend. As you all know because of the holiday no coupon inserts. But there were still great deals to be had at CVS this week. I haven't been going to any of the other drugstores because I have been doing so well at CVS!

This was a better week then I thought and on my 2nd transaction they actually owed me money! Want to see how I did it? Keep reading

Going into the store I had a coupon that I printed online that was linked to my card. $5 off $25 or more. I always make it a habit to check my CVS card balance before I go in because hotmail can be slow in giving my email updates. There have been many times I will check my account and find a coupon in there!

I also had $2.00 in extra bucks from last week to use.

Transaction #1

Revlon spend $10 and get $4 in extra bucks
I bought another one of my favorite grow lashes mascara for $7.00 and also a nail polish for $5.49

Maybelline lip or eye products spend $10 and get $3.00 in extra bucks back. I bought an e/s quad that was $10.79 and used a $1.00 off coupon

Physicians Formula was the best makeup deal this week! Spend $10 and get $7 extra bucks back! I also had a peel pad coupon for $4.00 off any one item!
I bought a mascara for $10.49

Keebler Granola fudge bars $2/5 plus $2.00 back in extra bucks when you buy to and there is a printable coupon!  Register here and you will find them!

Hershey Air Delight bar 99 cents plus 99 cents back in extra bucks!

Total after coupons  and extra bucks $27.01  and they gave me $16.99  back in extra bucks!

Transaction #2  was my best! they owed me 49 cents!

$16.99 in extra bucks to use

Sobe life water 88 cents each plus crv and I had a coupon for a free one when you bought 2

Milk $2.99 gallon..but my store didn't have this so I paid $3.19

Skintmate shavegel is a money maker this week! $1.99 plus $1.00 off CVS coupon you can print here
Also there is a $1.00 coupon from a previous paper..but you don't  have that here is a link to a 75 cents off

Carefree liners $1.00 plus 50 cents off coupon. I had one from last weekends paper but here is a link for one you can print   and you also get $1.00 extra buck!  50 cent money maker!

Planters trail mix $1.69

Meow mix $4.50 and I had a $1.00 off

Kudos bars $2.49 and I had a .50 cents off coupon from a previous paper

Sauve deodorant  99 cents plus I had a 75 cent off coupon from a previous paper

Total after coupons and extra bucks ( I didn't use all my extra bucks)

They owed me 49 cents! But of course they don't do that there so total is ZERO!!!!!

What kind of deals did you score? Please also keep in mind when you are shopping. You are not the only one out there. I had some lady today that was rude and pushy.  She was going for ever deal I was and when I went to get my item she about pushed me over so I couldn't! There is no need for that. So remember be nice when shopping.  There is no need to rude. It is just stuff!

Thanks for reading until next week!

Happy Shopping!

Weight loss and it's up and downs.

Hello lovely friends!

So, as many of you know from following me on youtube, I have been on the Atkins lifestyle change for over a year now. It has been a long hard road, but this has been the best change I have ever made! Now, most people look at those who lost the weight fast and want to join that program. From past experience that doesn't work in the long run.

I have been on the weight loss struggle for years! But in my later years is when I got the heaviest, after kids. Stress of life, military games and being lonely didn't help. Being a military wife you have to learn to spend lots of time on your own with your kids. That can be hard.  Food becomes your friend and enemy.

I lost a lot of weight 3 yrs ago but to put it right back on when my mom almost died. That stress was overwhelming for me and I put myself and health on the back burner.

Well fast forward to a year ago, I hated to see myself, pictures, video' name it. I tried to hide what I could. I knew I needed a change after a doctor appointment for a bad allergy attack. They took my weight, omg really? That scale has to be broken! And my blood pressure..holy high!

I went home and did I do this to myself again? Hubby never knew how bad I felt. He sat with me and asked me what my trigger foods were...carbs..always been carbs. I could look at a bagel and that would be on my butt or hips!  So he suggested I try Atkins. Really? I can't eat a lot of just meat and cheese..holy plug me up batman!  But we went for the "newer" version of Atkins.

We agreed to do this together..well that didn't last long. Hubby lost all his weight in 3 months! Not going to lie, I felt like shit. But I had the backing of so many women telling me it sucks how men can lose like that. But my body has changed since having kids..sooo..and I am 1yr to 40..yikes!

The road has been hard..lots of up and downs..but I have stuck with the plan. I started at a size 18.. I am now between a 12/10.  As I get closer..(goal is 8/10) my body struggles and is slow going. It is fighting me ever step of the way. But I know low carb has been the best choice. My blood pressure is normal..range is 114-116/70... I was at 130/80!

I  have gotten rid of bags and bags of clothes..but sometimes I look in the mirror on bad days and still see a fat person :( I think the mind catching up with the change is the hardest).  I am my worst critic. Hubby says many times for no reason.  How do I break that? How do I love myself and realize I have come so far and worked so hard? I still don't know the answer to that. I wish I did.

I will add some pictures at a later date of the change. But I wanted to share my story. If anyone is on the weight loss journey I am here for support. I know how much support makes a difference.

Thank you so much for reading my story!

Until next time...xoxo

Summer has started! Time to get our tan on... the safe way!

Hello lovely friends!

Today is the start of summer. Although in my area you wouldn't know it! We have such micro climate weather here. Being by the coast you will get , fog, sun , more fog and then travel 15 minutes 80 degree's! It is a real pain to figure out what to wear each day, layers are your friend!

So of course you want to have a tan! But the best way is the safe way, sunless tanner! It sure has come a long way since I first tried them. Remember the days of the stinky orange glow? I do! I was a victim of it....scary to admit.

But with the bad past history I still try sunless tanners. Since my dad had skin cancer  recently. It scared me, thankfully they caught it early and he was treated.

On the hunt for a new one this year. I went searching for reviews. I was first going to try one from Victoria Secrets, but my store is a real pain to get to, so I opted for Bath and Body Works. Plus, I had a coupon! Of course I did!

I looked up reviews before heading to the store. I decided to pick up the

True Blue Spa Bronze Self Tanning Lotion.

Retail is $15 for a 6oz size.  It is enriched with vitamin e which really does help to moisturise your skin and a gold color guide really helps to see where you are putting the lotion.

I exfoliated my skin before I applied it and then applied lotion to the area's that will grab the most color.  I really like the scent, it is light and sort of a flower scent.  It does have a very slight hint of the self tanner scent but nothing that lingers.

When you apply it the texture is a cross of a lotion/ gel feel. It applies easily and dries fast. I let it try for at least 10 minutes to be sure.

The instructions state to wait at least 3 hours before you shower or workout. I waited 4 hours. After that time I had a nice even tan that was not too dark. I like a lighter natural color.  You can reapply it for more color if you want after the processing time.

My color lasted at least 5 days and the fading was the best part. Most unless tanner do not fade well on my skin. I get these weird fade area's. But not with this one, it faded so evenly and I actually didn't even realise it had completely faded until one day I noticed I looked paler again!

I have used this 3 more times and every time I have great results!  I will be buying this again and hope they do not stop making it!

I hope you give it a try too! And have a beautiful tan this summer.

Be safe and have lots of summer fun!

Until next time xoxo

Hello lovely friends and savers!

Today in the mail I received a nice surprise, a $25 gift card for American Eagle. How did I get this? Well I am signed up at .

I stumbled onto this website and so far I have earned 2 of these gift cards!

So, you are probably asking about did you earn it? Well it is rather simple, you sign up and then after you answer some questions about your lifestyle, etc they will email you when there is a new survey to fill out. They vary, I have answered questions about my tv viewing, magazines I have read to stores I shop at.

In the email you get it will list the compensation you will receive.. if you fully qualify for the survey or if you get a partial credit for taking the time to see if  you qualify. For example, a full credit would be $10 and partial would be $.50 cents. I have noticed that the longer the survey the more they pay. The credit will show up right away.

They have a list of different ways you can redeem your credits. For me, the best has been American Eagle. Yes, it does take time. I have to earn 45 points to get the $25 gift card. But it is a FREE gift card for taking a little bit of my time to answer simple questions!

Also, they are very fast at sending out the cards. Which is nice. I was worried at first it might be a scam. But it isn't!

Check it out! I get nothing for sharing this with you. I just wanted to share this great site and way to earn free gift cards, travel and movies!

If you try it let me know your thoughts!

Until next time..xoxo

Yesterday I needed a break and went to Rite Aid for my weekly deals. I had $5 in Up Rweards to use and a $3 off $15 survey coupon. I love those! Welcome to my Blog!

Some of you might know me from Youtube as , Hairloungenmore.  You might have noticed that recently I decided to leave Youtube and start this blog instead. I won't get into a long story as to why. But the main reason is Youtube takes a lot of time, making the video, editing, uploading. To only get low views and comments. I have been lucky to meet so many wonderful people and gain amazing friendships.  But for me it just isn't worth taking that much time do video's anymore.

A blog for me makes more sense. I can write my reviews and thoughts easier.  I love to sharing the deals I get each week with couponing. My blog will focus a lot on that.

I look forward to blogging and meeting more people that share the same passion.
